This is my camera; my brother bought it for me.  I like to take photos of nature and children.  Nature gives you inspiration with the views that you see, and children have such innocent faces.  I like to take photos of these two things.  I think nature is a quiet place that gives you peace and helps you feel relaxed.  If I am feeling giddy or something, or my mood is bad, I can go to nature and my mood will change.

I made a presentation this semester in school and I showed my pictures that I took of a place in nature, a wadi.  The teacher is American and she liked the pictures so much that she wanted to visit the place.  Sometimes you see photos and the effect is so strong you feel almost like you live in that place.

Wherever I go I take my camera with me.  In my first year of school I studied art.  I studied artists and I liked it so much, and I got to visit some exhibitions and it was wonderful.  Then I transferred to the College of Education. Now I am so focused on my studies this is more of a hobby.  But art is an important part of Omani culture, and even if we don’t study art we have an interest art.  I like to write poems in Arabic, because my English isn’t so strong yet.  With poetry you can get your feelings out.  Sometimes you can’t say what you feel but you can write about it.
