I would like to talk about playing football (soccer).  Some people are surprised that football is one of the most important things to me in my life.  You know, we are students here in school and we are away from our home and we are here to study.  So after a day of work and study we need something to entertain ourselves.  So I think football is the most interesting thing to do to entertain ourselves and forget our studies for a little time.

Also it reminds us of our childhood and our homes, because growing up we always gathered to play.  Perhaps some people are in conflict or have a bad relationship but when they are playing football they forget all about the bad relationship and they share together, play together and so on.  So I think football is also gathering people together to keep them close to each other.

Watching football on the TV also helps people join together and enjoy their time and forget all other stressful things in life.  Besides watching the matches here in Oman, I am also addicted to watching international football.  Even if they are repeats on the TV I will watch them over and over again!  I love football, but really any type of sport can help bring people together and help them forget their conflicts.
