This is my scarf; it is from my grandma.  I have a really great relationship with my grandma and I feel very lucky to have her in my life.  Her disappointment in me means a lot more to me than my mom’s disappointment in me, I have a special respect for her.  We have tons of fun together and even though my mom raised me, she has also been like a mother to me.

If I could I would still live with my mom and my grandma.  Ideally my whole family would all live together in a huge house!  I don’t see my family as much as I would like to, I would like to start everyday drinking coffee with my mother and grandma.

I think a lot of people focus on the arguments and the disagreements and the things that they don’t have with their family, and they end up missing out on a lot because there is so much good you can focus on too. There are a lot of great things and interesting stories you can learn over time from your family.  I have learned more stories about my grandma even recently and I thought I knew everything about her!
